MOM, can you make “THAT BREAD”?

This is what I hear whenever my family knows we’re having some type of pasta dish, “MOM, can you make THAT BREAD”? So of course, THAT BREAD is what we call it. Give my recipe a try and see why my family LOVES it!

THAT BREAD, fresh out of the oven....

THAT BREAD, fresh out of the oven….

1 cups Hellman’s REAL Mayonnaise
1/2 cup Kraft Grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup Green Onions, cleaned and sliced thinly
Handful of grated Mozzarella Cheese, optional
1 loaf French Bread

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Combine these ingredients all together and set aside.

Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place each slice side by side and divide the mayonnaise mixture evenly between the 2 slices

Spread the mixture evenly over the bread slices and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden in color.

Here, I added shredded Mozzarella cheese to one of the slices.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes when I’m in a hurry and want to speed up the process, after the bread has been baking for about 25 minutes, I’ll place it under the broiler and brown it that way. Be careful because the bread tends to burn quickly. Allow to cool a bit before cutting into pieces, I sometimes find that using a pair of kitchen shears helps to cut each slice, but a serrated knife will work as well.

NOTE: You can also add a handful of grated Mozzarella cheese to the tops of each slice and continue to cook as instructed.
